Buying your first home is quite the daunting task, Now that the finish line is in sight, it important that you get a Home Inspection The Way it Should Be!
We have a special inspection for first time homebuyers. It includes our STANDARD Inspection plus an on site follow up, 30(ish) days after closing to answer any questions that may have come up since you've moved in.
We'll also do a recall and safety check on all of your appliances as well as go over your homes systems from an operation and maintenance perspective.
Some of the common things we go over on site:
- Dates of your Smoke and CO detectors (and when they should be replaced)
- Furnace air filters, when and how to change them (air flow direction DOES matter)
- Main shut off valves for water, gas
- Electrical breakers
- GFCI testing
- Resetting your garbage disposal when it jams
- Quick fix for a running toilet (and how it saves you money)
- One way to tell if you have an unseen water leak
- How to know if your water heater is too hot
- A 5 min trick to get the most life out of your water heater
- Child proofing tips (if applicable)
- Anything else you'd like to know about
We'll also be able to go over anything that was inaccessible during the original inspection - Now that its your place, you can do whatever you want!
